We understand it’s hard to know what a colour really looks like from a small image on screen. We recommend checking our Instagram and Facebook pages to see colours on real people in natural daylight — no studio lights or filters. We list the colour on each post.

Synthetic wigs are made from man-made fibres that are pre-styled and hold their shape even after washing — they’re low maintenance and very easy to wear. Human hair wigs are made from real hair, so they look and feel the most natural, and can be styled with heat tools just like your own hair. Human hair wigs generally last longer (up to a year or more with proper care) compared to synthetic wigs (typically 4–6 months). The trade-off is that human hair wigs require more upkeep and cost more. If you want easy care and affordability, synthetic is a great choice. If you want maximum naturalness and styling flexibility, human hair is worth the investment.

Heat friendly wigs are made from a special synthetic fibre that can tolerate low-to-moderate heat from styling tools, unlike traditional synthetic wigs which will melt or frizz if heated. They sit between standard synthetic and human hair in terms of versatility — you get more styling options than a regular synthetic, at a lower price point than human hair. Please note that heat friendly synthetic wigs still cannot be coloured.

Modern wigs have come an incredibly long way. High quality synthetic wigs can look just as natural as human hair wigs, the key is cap construction, hair density, and the quality of the brand. Features like lace fronts, monofilament tops, and hand-tied caps all contribute to a more natural appearance. We only stock reputable brands that are known for their realistic, natural-looking styles.

A lace front wig has a sheer lace panel along the hairline at the front of the cap. This creates a very natural-looking hairline, making the wig appear as though the hair is growing directly from your scalp. It also allows you to style the hair away from your face. Lace front wigs are one of the most popular styles for a natural appearance.

A monofilament top is a cap construction where individual hairs are hand-tied to a sheer mesh at the crown of the wig. This creates the appearance of a natural scalp and allows you to part the hair in different directions. It also tends to be more comfortable, especially for sensitive scalps. Monofilament tops are available in partial or full versions, a full monofilament top gives the most natural-looking parting across the whole crown.

A hand-tied wig is one where every single hair is individually knotted to the cap by hand. This creates the most natural movement, the softest feel against the scalp, and the greatest comfort, particularly for those with sensitive skin or undergoing medical hair loss treatment. Hand-tied wigs are generally the most luxurious and are priced accordingly.
